If you are like me and have loads of shortcuts and stuff on your desktop, this is a god send. Basics: Install rainmeter Once it's installed, it should. Most people would have just removed some icons and organized files/folders. Focus will not move anything. Re-click a selected skin and you can use the arrows again. Made with ❤ by the community. Icons by Freepik and feathericons.com.
Dear Rainmeter Community,I have a Rainmeter skin that covers the left side of my desktop. Whenever I download something or place something on the desktop, icons get placed, by default, at the top left area (following a grid) of the desktop. That means every time I want to access the file, I will need to press WindowsKey+D (show Desktop), which minimizes the Rainmeter skin, to access it.

Is there a way to alter Windows' desktop mechanism by making icons being placed at a user-defined area of the desktop i.e. not underneath my Rainmeter skin? In a way, restricting a certain area of the desktop from icons.
I searched the Rainmeter forums for a bit and I found Desktop Coral, however that restricts active windows as well, like a maximized Chrome would also adhere to the rules set on the desktop.
Thanks for the help.
